Comment on COMPASS Pathways – Access to Synthetic Psilocybin by Richard Tyll https://psilocybintechnology.com/compass-pathways-access-to-synthetic-psilocybin/#comment-1753 Mon, 17 Feb 2020 14:41:24 +0000 https://psilocybintechnology.com/?p=448#comment-1753 Balancing (A) Access to Psilocybin with (B) Maximizing Profits
This is always the downfall of Pharmaceutical Companies trying to provide drugs that come from a naturally-growing plant. People will always revert back to obtaining a natural plant rather than paying for High-priced Pills. Especially when it is far easier to grow your own plants for far less cost. While it would be of benefit to have precise dosing for particular ailments, I believe people will opt for finding the correct dosage for themselves over being held hostage to the Pharmaceutical Industries quest to Maximize Profits.

Comment on Patent Attorney Charles Boulakia joins Flourish Mushrooms by dorothy https://psilocybintechnology.com/patent-attorney-charles-boulakia-joins-flourish-mushrooms/#comment-1745 Sat, 15 Feb 2020 20:16:22 +0000 https://psilocybintechnology.com/?p=4152#comment-1745 Why do people tend to see the patent system in opposition to “nature”?? With all due respect, believe me without patents you probably won’t be able to post your thoughts on…euhh patents (think computer, phones, google, internet..electricity for god-sake!!.. I mean all the gizmo is thanks to the patent system). Nobody would have wasted his time developing these things without patent protection for his inventions!! I see nothing wrong with patents. Maybe big pharma have abused the system and made people wary of anything that have to do with patents. But as far as I am concerned, so long as smart people come up with ingenious ideas and discoveries that “improve” nature, I see nothing wrong with rewarding those people for their work with exclusive use patent for their invention.

Take for example psilocybe mushroom, the topic of this site: lots of people are not aware that some psilocybe mushroom in addition to beneficial compounds like psilocybin, baeocystin..etc also contain pretty nasty and scary compounds that give you general body paralysis a condition called “wood-lover paralysis” (google it). Those are n.a.t.u.r.a.l mushroom one can go pick up on the wild. That condition can be extremely frightening and potentially deadly!!! Very frightening when your entire body is paralyzed from head-to-toe for couple of hours and you are completely helpless to do anything about it (some people freak out and have “bad trips” thinking they are dead!!! very very dreadful condition!! Nobody knows what compound(s) exactly in mushroom is/are responsible of this. If some smart gal/guy can come up with mushroom strains that do not have this potentially deadly side-effects, so be it: give her a patent exclusivity and let her/him make money for her work..nothing wrong with it imho… just my 2 cents worth

I’ll tell you this, I don’t think I’ll ever stop mocrodosing. EVER. Microdosing psilocybin has helped me with extreme focus, longevity, mental clearness and positive thinking. The only what I can describe it is, it’s like drinking the BEST cup of coffee ever. A cup of coffee where the “effects” last alllllllll day. Now let’s talk fitness. I’ve only noticed the difference in my cardio. I’m able to push harder and faster with psilocybin. I’m able to dig deeper in my performance and on actual dosing days, while running easily improves my time by 30 sec to a whole min off my time. Can’t wait to try microdoing LSD. Funny, never thought these “drugs” would ever be apart of my life!

Why do we need all these patents? The only articles you write about this field are about patents.

Mushrooms exist naturally. I could go pick some out at my father’s farms. Thanks for warning me that this promising field is going to be dominated by big pharm. I don’t need to know any more than this.
